Admissions Requirements

Transfer Requirements:

Transfer students must meet all freshman requirements. If you are a transfer student with 24 credit hours or more, you must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale) on all previous college work. If you are a transfer student under age 21, with fewer than 24 credit hours, you must have a minimum 2.00 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale) on all previous college work.

Adult Learner Requirements:

If you are an adult learner (21 years and older) with fewer than 24 credit hours, you must have a minimum 2.25 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale) on all previous college work and have graduated from an accredited high school or have an overall score of 680 on the GED.

If you are an adult learner (21 years and older) with no transfer work, you must have graduated from an accredited high school or have an overall score of 680 on the GED. Certain academic colleges within Wichita State require students to meet a minimum GPA for admission to their colleges.

Tuition & Financial Aid

We are very proud that WSU is one of the most affordable research institutions in the state of Kansas. Continuing your education requires a significant investment of time and money. Students enrolling in Wichita State’s online programs pay in-state tuition and may be eligible for scholarship opportunities exclusively for online students.

Note: This program is financial aid-eligible, meaning that once you have completed your application for admission, you can work with the Financial Aid team on everything from completing your FAFSA to setting up a payment plan or asking your employer for tuition assistance.
