Admission Considerations

To be considered for admission to the program, you must provide the following: 

 

  1. Completed graduate school application.
  2. Official transcripts with a minimum 3.00 GPA for the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework.
  3. Evidence of academic competence.
  4. Contact information for three professional references who can speak to the applicant’s academic and professional abilities.
  5. A résumé outlining educational background, work experience, relevant volunteer experiences, extracurricular activities, personal interests, and email address.

Curriculum Overview

The program requires 30 credit hours of coursework, covering various topics such as educational research, program evaluation, practitioner wellness, and legal and ethical issues in higher education.   

Students can also choose to emphasize either student affairs practitioner wellness and effectiveness or administration leadership, which provides additional training in areas such as crisis management and leadership in higher education. 

The program also includes a practicum component, where students can apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be well-equipped to handle the challenges of working in higher education institutions and related fields.
